NAPA COUNTY ?Napa County Coroner”s Office recently completed a 3-D, facial reconstruction of a woman whose body was found in a rural area of Highway 128 near Lake Berryessa in May. Photos of the forensic, facial reconstruction were released on Tuesday in effort to gain public assistance in identifying the woman.
The woman, believed to be a victim of homicide, was located and recovered by Napa County Sheriff”s Department CSI on Mother”s Day, May 10. The body was originally discovered by a K-9 Patrol officer while on routine patrol. The victim was in skeletal remains and preliminary indications reportedly suggest that she has been deceased for approximately six months to one year.
According to the Napa County Coroner”s Office, an autopsy and forensic anthropology exam revealed that the victim died as a result of a homicide. The victim has several unique physical and external features, which make her very identifiable.
The woman is described as a black, female adult between the ages of 35 to 50 years old. She is about 5 feet-5 inches to 5 feet-6 inches tall and average build. She has short, light-colored natural hair, which has a black color, curly, collar-length hair weave attached. She has a stud, nose or lip piercing and extensive dental work. Her teeth are reportedly in good repair.
Anthropology indicates she has had at least one child previously. She has acrylic, French cut fingernails. She was partially clothed, dressed in an olive or green color, short sleeve, Polo style shirt. The victim may have had lower back problems as well. Numerous forensic fields are currently being utilized to investigate the homicide.
