GREATER KELSEYVILLE — The All-American Rejects ? it”s what happens when thoughts and names collide. The name of the band is a culmination of two suggestions: “The All-Americans” and “The Rejects.” The four-piece band from Stillwater, Oklahoma, formed in 2001 and boasts catchy tunes, sensitive lyrics and instant sing-along fun. Lead vocalist and bass guitarist Tyson Ritter, guitarists Nick Wheeler and Mike Kennerty, and drummer Chris Gaylor are “The All-American Rejects.”
“Move Along” featured on the band”s second album in 2005, quickly hurled the band into the mainstream. It seemed the band had reached its peak, but topped it in 2008 with the hit single “Gives You Hell,” which has 16,126,959 views on YouTube.
The All-American Rejects will close out the holiday weekend at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa with an outdoor show at the amphitheater on Sunday.
