As a society, we are letting ourselves down. We are allowing an increase in government and taxes by our own apathy. We know the infinite details about Michael Jackson”s funeral and controversy over his will and dependents. However, policies such as Cap and Trade and how the unlimited amount of “funny money” being printed by the U.S. Treasury will significantly impact each of us are barely known. No one seems to care.
We should be angry at what is happening in Congress. We should be livid at what our California legislators are doing to our state. Fire departments are authorizing “rolling shutdowns,” lengthening response time to fires. School district budgets are being slashed, resulting in school closures and elimination of vital programs. Agencies supporting children, the aged and infirm are the first to be receiving the state warrants. Unbelievably these are IOUs from the state and you can bet the state would not accept the same from us when paying our taxes. This is madness ?
