BUCKINGHAM — Admission is free at the 13th annual Pepsi Celebrity Golf Shootout on Aug. 29 at Buckingham Golf and Country Club.
Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa and Konocti Presents are hosting a no-frills version of the Shootout this year, with only nine holes of golf but plenty of NFL star power as 20 former greats will once again walk the fairways at Buckingham while competing in the Reunion Skins Game and its $5,000 purse.
Celebrities include former Oakland Raiders great Ken Stabler and one-time San Francisco 49er star Roger Craig.
The Raiders and 49ers are once again well-represented at the Shootout with such players as Eric Wright, Daryle Lamonica, John Taylor, Marv Hubbard, Rod Martin, Ted Kwalick, Mike Wilson, Art Thoms, Cliff Branch, Craig Morton, Ben Davidson and John Paye included in the field. Other players will be announced as they are added.
Each former NFL player will team up with a foursome of amateur golfers. Pairing will be announced Aug. 28 during the sponsor party and pairings party at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa.
Following the pairings party, the Ford F-Series presents Toby Keith and Jack Ingram and special guests The Lost Boys under the stars at the Konocti Field Amphitheatre. Tickets are $109, $119 and $129.
Tickets for the pairings party and Sunset Pre-Show BBQ cost $29.
Shuttle service between Konocti Harbor and Buckingham Golf and Country Club will not be provided this year.
Two golf package options are available for golfers who would like to participate in this year”s Shootout. The Deluxe Player Package includes two passes to the sponsor party, two pairings party tickets and includes general admission to Toby Keith, Jack Ingram and The Lost Boys. It costs $650.
The Basic Plus Player Package is available for $500 and includes two pairings party tickets.
