Once again, the sheriff”s department makes the news.Evidently, an officer was getting flight training and no one knew about it. Shouldn”t the sheriff be aware of what his staff is doing? The sheriff said this is the first year the department had contracted with the flight school. Who approved this and who signed the contract?
They had to make an emergency landing. We are very fortunate that nothing happened. The county has no insurance to cover this.
I hope the board of supervisors investigates this department and its leader thoroughly. What else is going on that the sheriff is not aware of?
