LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Record-Bee will honor its Athlete of the Year Award winners and Coach of the Year award winners in Thursday”s edition of the newspaper.
For the first time in the award”s 22-year history there are more than two athletes being honored.
Athlete of the Year winners were selected from a field of five male and five female finalists. Finalists are determined by their on-field achievements during the high school sports season.
Only juniors or seniors who play at least two sports are eligible for the award.
A photo page featuring the 2008-09 Athletes of the Year will follow in Friday”s edition.
