CLEARLAKE OAKS ? A landing zone was established at the Clearlake Oaks boat ramp late Thursday night for a victim of a reported stabbing.
An unidentified 56-year-old man was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for an arterial bleed in his forearm.
Rescue response was requested at 10:03 p.m. following a report of a possible stabbing victim on Foothill Drive. Medical units staged at Clearlake Oaks Fire Station until they were cleared for entry by Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) at 10:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, medics informed St. Helena Hospital Clearlake that they had an arterial stab wound. The medic said they were unable to stop the bleeding and inquired as to whether or not the hospital could handle the incident. Emergency Room personnel advised that the hospital could not and aerial transport would be required.
REACH 1 was dispatched and on the ground at 10:53 p.m. The patient was loaded and ready for transport en route to Santa Rosa Memorial at 11:08 p.m.
