I don”t believe that criminal trials should be tried in the newspaper, but if the prosecutor can do it, so can the public.

If a sailor can be prosecuted for the reckless misdeeds of a police officer there could be disastrous results: 1. An officer in Lake County can commit mayhem and murder without worry about prosecution. 2. Clear Lake could become the cowboy speedboat capital of the west, if it hasn”t already. 3. Sailors, kayakers, swimmers and water fowl would likely disappear. 4. Noise levels on the lake would be even higher than now.

Even good people can do bad things, but when they do, they need to be held accountable, or their bad behavior could continue. Whether they”re capable of correcting their mistakes depends on whether they”re held accountable, learn their lesson and never repeat that mistake.
