Konocti Fiddle Club at Lakeport Library
LAKEPORT — The Konocti Fiddle Club will visit preschool storytime at the Lakeport Library, 10:15 to 11 a.m. Aug. 7 at 1425 N. High St. in Lakeport.
The fiddlers, who range in age from kindergarten to grandparent, will demonstrate what a fiddle can do and will perform some classic fiddle tunes. Story lady, Miss Barbara, will read music-themed story books.
Lakeport Library is open from 10 am. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The phone number is 263-8817.

LOWER LAKE — The Lower Lake Historic School Preservation Committee will host its 16th annual quilt and textile exhibition from Aug. 1 through 29 in Weaver Auditorium at the Lower Lake museum, 16435 Main St. in Lower Lake. PACK fall registration
MIDDLETOWN — The Parents and Community for Kids (PACK) Community Arts Academy & Middletown Dance Alliance is holding registration for its fall classes, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 13 and noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 29 at 21055 Bush St. in Middletown.
Classes start on Sept. 8 and are open to babies (age 1) to adult. The class schedule includes classical ballet (pre-ballet to pointe), baton, character, modern, tap, jazz, Broadway, drama, tumbling, acrobees, belly dance, Webkinz Club and more. Art show cancelled
LAKEPORT — Lakeport Senior Center has cancelled the arts and crafts show that was planned for Aug. 22 and 23. The center will reschedule and host this event in the future. Please call the center if you are interested in participating, 263-4218.
?Nutcracker” auditions
MIDDLETOWN — The Middletown Dance Alliance will be holding auditions for its third annual performance of “The Nutcracker,” noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at PACK Community Arts Academy, 21055 Bush St. in Middletown.
