NICE ? A parolee wanted by authorities since July 19 was captured.
Berret J. Brown, 24, of Clearlake Oaks was arrested by a Lake County Sheriff”s deputy at 2:53 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on E. Highway 20 at Sayre Lane in Nice.
Brown was allegedly involved in a traffic collision that occurred on July 19 at the junction of Highways 20 and 53 in Clearlake Oaks. Brown allegedly rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped at the “Y” intersection. Brown and an unknown passenger of his vehicle left the scene on foot after the collision.
Brown was arrested Thursday on a parole violation. According to the Lake County District Attorney”s Office, the case is currently under review.
