May I suggest that the Record-Bee give a polite reminder to Clearlake Post Office. One of the main entrance doors has been blocked off by use of a very large cigarette disposal container for over six months. I mentioned this fact to one of the clerks at the Lower Lake Post Office when I was in there (we use both postal offices) and she was surprised. She said, “They have more resources than we do, and we keep our office in repair.” She hadn”t known of the situation and couldn”t believe that nothing had been done after so much time had passed. I asked other persons and they said, “Oh yes, that door has been like that since before last Christmas.”

Do you think a photo of the door and a brief questioning message would be in order? Such tawdry appearances do the city and the U.S. Postal Service no favors whatsoever. The Postal Service is suffering enough without such an obvious example of disrepair.
