LAKEPORT — The Main Street Gallery”s First Friday Fling”s reception for the artists, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, will feature the art work of six new artists. Showing for the first time at the gallery is Bonnie Tringali with her fresh style in pastels.

Ellen Tobin returns to show her beautifully captured photographic scenes from her travels to the Netherlands, while Rose Hodkins and Kathy Butra each exhibit their unique style in oils.

Returning with fine work in gourds and bone jewelry is Desiree Henningsen. Gaylene McComb”s cleaverly crafted, artistic and practical work in clay will grace the front platform.

Continuing in the August show are Meredith Grambrel”s distinctive oils, Bobbi Bridges” fine watercolor prints, Katie Folk”s bold oils, Richard Seisser”s finely executed landscapes in pastels and Terry Durnil”s bold and definitive pastel landscapes. John Eells”s abstract canvasses in acrylics will delight the eye and stir your mind. Carolyn Morris in oil and Colleen LaPlant with servicable glassware round out this versatile show. Adding to the show is a special collection of Joan Holman”s jewelry from her many travels around the world.

The Linda Carpenter Gallery will feature students currently taking classes in Richard Seisser”s weekly pastel class at the Gallery. Exhibiting in the show are Jack Cornell, Terry Durnil, Marie Edmundson, Toni Hyden, Shelby Posada, Dennis Robinson, and Bonnie Tringali.

Please join us for this evening of art, meet the featured artists and sample the award winning wines of Rosa D”Oro while enjoying the lively sounds of Phil Mathewson on acoustic guitar.

Here”s your chance to meet some of the glamorous women of the Golden Follies, including our own “Ladies of the Lake,” who will be preforming in a brand new production, “Thanks for the Memories,” 7 p.m. Aug. 7 and 8 and 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre.
