LAKE COUNTY ? A woman suffered injuries Wednesday in a single-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Highway 53 south of the “Y” intersection. Amy Duschka, 21, of Clearlake Oaks suffered severe injuries to her left arm.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol Clear Lake area, Duschka was traveling southbound on Highway 53 at an unknown rate of speed. She made an unsafe turning movement and lost control of the 2004 Kia Rio she was driving.
The Kia went off of the road and hit an embankment and overturned.
Duschka was transported via REACH air ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for her injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by Officer R. Hearn. Drugs and/or alcohol are not considered to be factors in the incident.
