LAKEPORT ? In a meeting that ended in a blink of an eye on Tuesday night, the Lakeport City Council approved an agreement with Peggy Campbell, regarding the building located at 401 N. Main St., as part of the fa?ade improvement program. It was passed in a 4-0 vote.

The Lake County Fair will be allowed to continue using redevelopment property. It also passed 4-1.

Acting City Manager, Kevin Burke who addressed council spoke as Lakeport Police Department chief, when he told council members that the Lakeport Police Department”s air conditioning unit was broken and would cost $4,000 for needed repairs.

Burke said he shopped around for the best deal.

In less than 20 minutes the council gave its approval on the issues, in what was referred to as “a record.”

The Lakeport City Council will meets at 6 p.m. at Lakeport City Hall, located at 225 Park St. in Lakeport.

Copies of the council”s agenda can be obtained at City Hall or online at www.cityoflakeport.com. The council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, unless otherwise announced.
