LAKEPORT ? The Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) will have a local vendor fair from 3 to 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Lake County Jail in an effort to buy more products from local businesses.

Business representatives will be able to see what products and services LCSO uses so that they can reclaim tax dollars spent out of the county.

Lake County Board of Supervisors encouraged departments to help stimulate the local economy by spending money in the area.

The sheriff manages the largest operational county budget, spending several million dollars on services and supplies.

In the past, the sheriff”s department spent more money outside the county because of the need for specialized equipment and services and to get more products for every dollar.

Sheriff”s department staff will discuss services and supplies with attending business representatives at the vendor fair at 4913 Helbush Drive in Lakeport.
