LAKEPORT — You can sign up now for one or more USBC-certified winter bowling leagues beginning Sept. 8 at Lakeside Lanes in Lakeport.
Evening leagues start at 6:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. and run to 8:30 p.m. or 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning/afternoon leagues start 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Seniors and kids leagues as well as adult mixed leagues are available.
There is also a “no tap” nine-pin Harley Davidson League on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
You can sign up for any league at Lakeside Lanes, 872 Lakeport Blvd., in Lakeport, or you can show up a half-hour early on the day or night you want to bowl. You can sign up as a team or individuals can sign up and be placed on a team.
All Lake County bowlers are invited to attend a meeting Sept. 13 beginning at 6 p.m. at Lakeside Lanes, where formation of a new Lake County Bowlers Association will take place. Officers will be elected and free refreshments and bowling will be provided.
