LAKE COUNTY ? Detectives Destry Henderson and Lou Riccardi papered downtown Lakeport with reward fliers Wednesday seeking information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the Oct. 8, 2002 morning murder of Barbara Gaye LaForge, 43, on Main Street at her place of business in Lakeport.

Dateline NBC cameras followed the detectives documenting and chronicling the active investigation of the homicide.

“Each and every merchant was willing to put up the fliers.” Riccardi said Thursday. “Overall, people were happy and enthusiastic to help.”

The fliers have a photo of LaForge and offer a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) who killed LaForge.

Several items of evidence were submitted to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) Forensic Laboratory for re-examination.
