National Day of Service?

President Obama is turning what was a national day of mourning into a “National Day of Service.” New York City Mayor Bloomberg has fallen in line and doubled down with him. “Lie down with dogs; get up with fleas.” What do these people mean? We can only guess, but here”s the plan: Soon the president will ask the American people how they can properly commemorate this day and you can bet your last buck a 100-percent tax for the day will be suggested. And, anyone criticizing this idea will be called racist!
Democrats drool: They think they”ve elected Superman! In a speech given at the Pentagon, one of the targets of the 9/11 attack, the president said not one word of our military”s success in keeping us safe for eight years since 9/11. Would that this could reflect well on George W. Bush have anything to do with it? Can”t have that!
When all taxes are summed, we are already working for the government well into August, according to private economists. Everything is taxed, including food and with the “climate change” scare they will soon have a tax on air. How much farther can they go? Don”t ask. History says economies as heavily taxed as ours fail in corruption. Too much money turns those who get it too easily. We doubt 10 percent of our elected class could pass forensic audits.
The prototype member of the House goes to Washington, D.C. with assets of a few hundred thousand dollars and retires a multi-millionaire. Senators usually arrive rich and then get stinking rich. Now we appear to have a man at the top who is very angry and is dissecting America piece by piece. When failure comes and a foreign nuke goes off in the Potomac, many in the country may not be shocked or sorry, but between here and there we will have our National Day of Service!
