In 1993 Americans ignored Hillary Clinton”s red flag warning of the wrongful path of our health care system. Thirty-seven million were without insurance. Today, it has climbed to 46.3 million. A rise of 25 percent in a short time frame. What is it going to take to reverse this insane direction? Do nothing, or support our president”s desire for change?
Wealthy Americans do not give a hoot about health insurance. And numerous politicians are anti-change, because they are shareholders of insurance and pharmaceutical stocks, and have received a fortune in election campaign funds from them. Why would they want change?
If you and I determine automobiles, televisions, homes, vacations, or any other commodity costs too much, we have a choice to buy or not to buy. With prescription drugs, we have no choice. It”s buy or suffer and die. Drug and insurance prices have no caps. A pharmaceutical company can charge a drugstore $5 for a pill that costs them 10 cents to make. Who”s to stop them? Certainly not the majority of Americans, such as you and I.
It would not surprise me if these corporations are paying known rebels and even corporate employees to organize these rallies to publicly protest any plan for change. All I hear is condemnation. I have yet to hear any other proposal for change. Our president”s plan for change may not be perfect or suit everyone, but is it a step in the right direction? You decide, before its too late.
