LOWER LAKE — Lake County Theatre Company”s production of “Southern Hospitality” takes place in Fayro, Texas, a small town that is getting smaller, losing businesses and population. Sound familiar?

The four Futrelle sisters decide to do something about it by luring a big salsa-making factory into town to create employment. Not a bad idea, right? But the way these crazy women go about “making an impression” on the owner of the factory, especially when they don”t know who she is, well, that”s what makes the play an hysterical romp and tastier than “a box full of Little Debbies.”

Recession-proof prices are also part of this production. For only $10 per ticket, all of Lake County is welcome to take time out from any problems they might have and enjoy the antics of the folks of Fayro, Texas, folks who look very much like us.

Performances take place at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in Weaver Auditorium at the Lower Lake Historic Schoolhouse Museum.

Reserved tickets can be purchased at Catfish Books in Lakeport, 263-6563; Wild About Books in Clearlake, 994-9453; and at the Lower Lake Historic Schoolhouse Museum, 995-3565. For more information, call 279-2595. Enjoy!
