SONOMA COUNTY ? The Pine Fire charred 300 acres and led to injuries for four fire personnel as of 6 p.m. Tuesday on Pine Flat Road in Sonoma County, CalFire stated.

CalFire did not know how the personnel were hurt, their condition or their names, Suzie Blankenship, fire prevention specialist said.

The fire was at 85 percent containment at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Blankenship said.

Pine Fire started about noon Monday on Pine Flat Road west of the Geysers Complex and east of Geyserville, Blankenship said. Fire personnel are investigating the cause.

Six rural ranches are no longer threatened by the fire and were not evacuated, Blankenship said. Fire crews protected threatened back-up high-tension power lines that weren”t supporting customers, said Jana Morris, Pacific Gas & Electric spokeswoman. PG&E hadn”t reported outages as of 6 p.m.

Staff and equipment cost $922,896 to extinguish the fire as of Tuesday, Blankenship said.

CalFire had reported the fire burned 350 acres, but after remapping the rugged terrain adjusted it to 300 acres, Blankenship said.

“Considering we”re under red-flag warning, the wind and weather has been our friend right now because the fire didn”t manifest to what it could have been,” Blankenship said.

Personnel opened Pine Flat Road to traffic Tuesday.

About 630 personnel including 30 fire crews and 21 engine crews have fought the blaze, CalFire reported.

Seven airtankers, four helicopters, 15 dozers, and five water tenders also worked to quell the flames. Cooperating agencies include: CalFire, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Sonoma County Fire, South Lake County Fire, California Highway Patrol, Sonoma County Roads, PG&E, Sonoma County Sheriff, Geyserville Fire Department and California Emergency Management Agency.
