CLOVERDALE — Skyler Olson and Ashley Mueller combined for 19 kills and Jennifer Green served up five aces as the Kelseyville Knights turned back the Cloverdale Eagles 25-3, 17-25, 25-11, 25-14 in a North Central League I interlock varsity volleyball match on Tuesday in Cloverdale.

Olson led the Knights with 10 kills.

The play of Sara Johnson and Julie Van Buskirk in the back row also propelled the Knights, according to Kelseyville head coach Donelle McCallister.

“Both did an outstanding job passing and digging,” McCallister said.

Chelsea DeJohn added 28 assists.

Kelseyville also won the junior varsity match 25-20, 22-25, 15-10 behind seven kills from Keirra Zarate and 15 digs from Luisa Solomon.

“Everyone contributed,” Kelseyville JV coach Karen Facey said. “They hustled a lot.”

The Knights are home today to play Clear Lake in the Play it in Pink fundraiser for breast cancer research. Junior varsity and varsity players on both teams will be decked out in pink T-shirts as will coaches and officials. The JV match gets under way at 5 p.m.
