LAKEPORT ? Lakeport Camper & Truck reported someone stole a motorcycle and two camper shells between midnight and 6 a.m. Monday at their lot on 5th and North Main streets, Lakeport police said. Someone broke into a fenced lot and took the chained-up items worth $4,700, said Lt. Brad Rasmussen of the Lakeport Police Department. A yellow and black Suzuki RM 125 motorcycle, a white LEER camper shell and a silver SNUGTOP camper shell were missing Monday morning.
“It”s hard to say if it was targeted for specific items or if they were looking to take the items to sell,” Rasmussen said of the theft. Police are investigating the theft and ask anyone with information call Officer Jarvis Leishman at 263-5491.
