LAKE COUNTY ? Love, compassion, and acceptance are just a few of the many aids Hilltop Recovery Services (HRS) offers its residents.
Lake County”s only nonprofit residential treatment facility for men, HRS specializes in offering a safe, nurturing environment for recovering addicts seeking to attain and sustain sobriety.
The staff at Hilltop Recovery Services is not only dedicated to helping its residents with the clinical issues pertaining to sobriety, they also help with the emotional and lifestyle issues that contribute to addiction.
HRS doesn”t attempt to change residents into someone they think they should be, but seek to equip them with the emotional and life skills needed in order to fulfill their dreams.
HRS wants residents to heal and grow on all levels.
Hilltop Recovery Services doesn”t take a one-size-fits-all approach to its diverse range of residents.
HRS recognizes that residents are individuals, and they approach recovery individually. Everyone”s path to sobriety and health is different according to HRS staff.
HRS seeks to assist each and every resident on their particular walk toward emotional wholeness and empowerment in any way they can. HRS has the belief that to love others you must first love yourself, and they assist their residents in growing in this area.
Hilltop Recovery Services supports its residents through an intense sense of community. They help their residents not only on an individual basis, but they also facilitate healthy group interaction among residents.
Functional peer communication and cooperation between the diverse population is an important aspect of the center. Residents come to HRS from all walks of life. Some are fresh out of prison, others fresh out of rehab and relapse.
To be given the opportunity to open up and share thoughts and feelings uninhibited with the fear of rejection and judgment is a first-time experience for many in the program.
HRS teaches residents to embrace and process thoughts and emotions instead of numbing them with drugs and alcohol.
