Harold Riley”s recent letter, “Jesus was a socialist,” was a bit disjointed, but interesting nonetheless. Because you speak of fascism, Hitler, shouting down speakers, criticism of Obama, brainwashing (the big lie), using the Bible as a weapon of hatred (referring to anti-gays or those speaking about Revelation?), accusing Christians of grandstanding and using the Bible to rationalize prejudices and political agendas, it sounds like you support Obama and are slamming those who are against him.

I think to defend someone or something without all the facts is unwise. Those for Obama are now seeing the economy really troubled, but some have a real and true understanding of Revelation after reading the National Sunday Law (NSL) and seeing how the government and churches tie-in. Those in-the-know also understand every reason the government gives for most anything is the ostensible reason. Also, many things are going on behind closed doors. Did you know there”s a bill to allow Obama to shut down the Internet? Google “Bill would give President emergency control of Internet” and remember the ostensible reason.

Scurrilous charges? Not if you know the truth. Please read NSL at www.reg6.com. You mention three books criticizing Obama”s administration ? another ploy to undermine public confidence and destroy what they cannot and will not accept. Seems those refusing to read NSL cannot or will not accept either.

One other thing to comment on … many know the main theme of the Bible is love and compassion. But there are things Jesus hated too. Love and compassion alone do not guarantee salvation. Poverty and faith alone don”t either. Read Second Peter 3:9 and Matthew 19:17.

You imply every rich person is condemned to hell. Not so. First Timothy 6:10 uses the word “some” and First Samuel 2:7 states “The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: He bringeth low and lifteth up.” Cross references here are Psalm 75:7 and Job 1:21.

Some rich will be condemned because they idolize money. Anything that man loves more than God is idolatry. Whether it be power, money, sex or whatever. And what about rich patriarchs such as Abraham? There are some rich, yet devout people. Oh, and political agenda is in the Bible ? Daniel and Revelation. Read Daniel 7:25.
