LAKE COUNTY? Lake County Fire Protection District responded to a structure fire on the 6200 block of Bay Street early Wednesday morning around 2:06 a.m.
According to LCFPD Battalion Chief Willie Sapeta, a fire alarm activated resulting in the safe evacuation of all occupants.
Sapeta said the fire was controlled within 15 to 20 minutes while overhaul was about an hour and a half. Cause of the fire remains under investigation, he said.
LCFPD responded with one engine, a water tender, two medic units, a battalion chief and 14 personnel.
CalFire assisted with two engines.
