SAN PABLO — The Mendocino Eagles squared their Bay Valley Conference volleyball record at 2-2 on Wednesday night with a 25-9, 25-22, 25-15 victory over Contra Costa College at San Pablo.
“We worked on some things and were able to rest someone who was nursing an injury,” Mendocino College coach Ori Polkinghorne said.
Former Clear Lake High School star Shana Hiatt led the way with 10 kills, nine digs and three aces, while former Kelseyville star Maille McCallister, the Eagles” setter, had 22 assists to go along with eight digs, four kills and three aces. Meghan Metcalf added seven kills, seven digs and three blocks.
The Eagles return home Friday to play Solano College at 6 p.m.
