The Senate recently voted to leave off the government offered health care option and it will be interesting to see if our president blinks and lessons the chances of getting any of his promised changes done.
The insurance companies and their lobbyists have spent millions to defeat this part of the health care reform and they did not do that to lesson their future profits. As always, they used the time-honored fear card, topped with spreading wheel barrows of money to those in D.C. who put their own and backers” interests before the nation”s citizens.
But again, the bottom line will be in our president”s corner, as to whether he will be the president of change and the leader of the middle class, which has been short-changed by corporate America for way too long.
This issue is the cornerstone for real change in our health care system and is needed to bring down the unjust use of our nation”s citizens” health as a profit center for the health care industry and their investors.
I hope the president stays the course and earns a seat next to Ms. Parks, who risked her life to bring a better life for so many by doing the right thing.
