I am writing to you hoping to let the people in Lucerne know how the water company is reading the water meters. They read our meter on Sept. 15. About five minutes after they read the meter I went and checked the meter and I could not see any numbers on the meter. The neighbors on both sides of us came over and the lady across the street came over and none of them could see any numbers on the meter.
The meter guy came back to his truck and I asked him how he could read the meter when no one else could read it, because of the dirt on the glass? I told him to get his boss out here and when the boss came out the first thing he did was wipe off the meter. I asked him why he wiped the meter off and he said so he could read the meter. But the meter reader already read the meter 20 minutes before the boss got here.
I hope you put this in the paper to let the people in Lucerne be aware of how their water meter is being read.
