I”m wondering why my friend”s water bill averages $118 every two months. They are a family of three adults. They have much more to water than we do. We have a well for our outside watering. Our bill averages $160 every two months and we are two adults and one part-time grandchild.
I want to encourage Lucerne residents to attend the water rates workshop for the Lucerne water system. It is Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m., at the Lucerne Elementary School on Country Club Drive. If you have questions please call 274-6624.
The workshop is sponsored by the CEO and the stockholders, who are making a big profit off of the residents of Lucerne. Why should we, the people, pay for their new plant? Will it save the Lucerne residents money? I think not. Businesses are in it for the profit. But, profit for water? Soon the cost will be as much as for gas.
