Our nation has been at war, somewhere, for the last 40-plus years. Are we not ready to be at peace, yet? Or do we keep sending our young men and women to be in harm”s way for many more years?

With the yearly budget the CIA receives and using the level of its skills, we should expect them to have found the rat. Then, using the weapon technology this nation”s taxpayers have been spending for each year for the military-industrial complex to thrive on, one would think they would offer a report card to this nation on just what we are getting for our taxpayers” dollars.

Our homeland is in dire need of attention right now, and for a long time to come. Bringing our troops home and investing their time, energy and skills on home-based projects would be a great help in getting our country back on its feet. This would keep them employed, at home with their families, out of harm”s way and putting funds back into this country”s economy.

If our news media ran photos every day for a month of the human cost of war; the lost limbs, dead children, both theirs and ours, and the tears of the families, both theirs and ours, I believe we, as the truly good people we are, as a nation, would favor such a strategy as stated above and take out the rat, like a leopard would on a moonless night. I believe, for one, that our CIA and our technology can get the job done, if assigned to do so.
