CLEARLAKE ? The Clearlake City Council will meet for a regular meeting 6 p.m. Thursday Oct. 22 at Clearlake City Hall. Members of the public may comment on any agenda item under discussion.
Public comment provides citizens an opportunity to speak for three minutes on any topic of choice as well.
Thursday”s agenda includes a presentation of certificates of appreciation to 2009 city volunteers and presentation of a proclamation in recognition of Red Ribbon Week in the Konocti Unified School District.
Consent Calendar items, which are considered to be non-controversial and will be acted upon as one, include: payment of bills; approval of minutes; monthly reports by the grant, community development and engineering, city clerk and finance departments; consideration of the city”s investment policy; authorization to surplus eight police vehicles; authorization to execute Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with the Municipal Employees Association and the Middle Management Association; consideration of modifying the management benefit and pay plan; and consideration of amending the policy on providing health insurance to city councilmembers.
Business items include:
?Consideration of a request by Wendy Fetzer to waive administrative penalties for failure to abate a public nuisance and a lien for abatement costs incurred on property located at 3258 Emerson Street.
?Authorization to execute (1) a reimbursement agreement with Walmart; (2) a project consultant agreement with Walmart; (3) a consultant agreement with Keyser Marston Associates; and (4) a consultant agreement with ESA.
?Public hearing to confirm assessments for summary abatement of nuisances.
?Consideration of the homebuyer guidelines for the HOME Investment Partnership programs.
?Consideration of a policy concerning the waiver of rental fees for the Clearlake Senior/Community Center and parks.
