LAKE COUNTY ? A 78-year-old man driving a 1983 Porsche 944 sped around a corner, hitting the metal guardrail, a tree and then overturning about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday on Bottle Rock Road south of Spring Hill Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Peter Binkley of Cobb wasn”t hurt after overturning, but his passenger, Montaray Binkley, 72, had a cut on her forehead, officer J. Wind of the CHP said.
An ambulance took Montaray Binkley to Sutter Lakeside Hospital for her injury.
“The one vehicle was just going a bit too fast around the corner, lost control and overturned,” Wind said.
The “hot car” was driving north and came to a rest on its wheels facing southeast, Wind said. The Binkleys were wearing their seatbelts and CHP does not suspect the man was drunken driving, Wind said.
