It is disappointing and worrisome that Proposition C passed in Lakeport. When we have a fire and/or injuries resulting from use of personal fireworks sold in Lakeport, those avid supporters of the proposition will certainly come to my mind. Perhaps those most vocal in pressing for the sales should be held accountable for the injuries, damage to property and cost of fire-fighting that will surely occur. Now all residents of Lake County are at greater risk of personal tragedy and that”s far beyond youth groups losing funding.
