COBB ? A Hidden Valley Lake man was arrested Monday after leaving the scene of a vehicle collision. Eric Steven Strand, 21, was located and taken into custody on felony hit and run charges.
According to California Highway Patrol Clear Lake area Information Officer Steven Tanguay, at approximately 10:44 p.m. a 2005 Subaru Impreza was traveling westbound on Highway 175 in the Cobb Mountain area just west of Dry Creek Cut-off. For an unknown reason the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a group of trees.
“All of the occupants ran from the vehicle before any emergency personnel arrived on scene,” Officer Tanguay stated. “While conducting an investigation, Strand was identified as the driver of the Subaru at the time of the collision.”
Officer Tanguay said one passenger, Jonathon Reymundo, 18, of Cobb, sustained moderate injuries to the head and hand as a result of the collision, which remains under investigation.
