On April 26, 2006 a totally innocent visitor to Clear Lake was killed when a speeding powerboat ran into a sailboat. The victim was in the cabin minding her own business and then she was dead.
Bismarck Dinius was found innocent. I know for a fact that I was home in bed and therefore I am innocent. Therefore we just pretend that everything is fine, right?
Why don”t we put together a special grand jury and give the victim and her family some justice.
Did a deputy lose his job during the investigation? Who were the witnesses and what did they really see? Was the powerboat really going too fast for the conditions?
There are countless rumors about how this case was investigated and prosecuted. Should a special grand jury be impaneled to let the citizens and taxpayers know what the hell happened and why? Should the citizens of Lake County and the victim”s family know why this person was killed?
A jury told us about who is innocent. Who is guilty? We know that the victim did not commit suicide or just fall overboard. She was killed in an accident that could have been prevented.
I do not need the sheriff to debrief me. I need to know why this innocent victim died in the middle of the night while enjoying an evening cruise on our beautiful lake.
