Regarding the Bottle Rock Power CEQA scoping meeting held Oct. 27; hooray for renewable power! More steam equals less reliance on fossil fuel ? domestic and foreign. It appeared that of the 50-plus community members who attended this meeting at least 30 of them drove to get there. Way to save gas folks! They also enjoyed a lighted room and other privileges of electricity.

Get real! In addition to the obvious benefit of electricity generated, the power plants in the geyser fields provide local jobs and significant property tax revenues.

I have confidence that the agencies involved will review this application professionally and without bias. As a Lake County resident of 26 years, mother of two young children and homeowner within five miles of Bottle Rock Power, I am proud that our resource can benefit our community.
