CLEARLAKE ?Clearlake Public Works Superintendent Doug Herren has prepared a list of tasks expected for completion during the month of November. Some routine maintenance tasks have already been finished.
During the month of November the Public Works Department will install crosswalk centerline paddles at Austin Park and Lakeshore Drive; relocate a shed from the old chamber office to the new garden project at the senior/community center and finish painting fascia on the front of city hall. Continuing tasks include pot hole patching as need as well as sign repair as needed.
The department will also finish installing benches at Austin Park. Herren said that the Lakeshore Lions Club donated seven benches to the city. Two of those benches have been installed at Redbud Park and the remaining five will be installed at Austin Park.
Public Works crews finished replacing culverts and ditch cleaning at Austin and Olive streets early this week. They also finished installing culverts and head walls on West 40th Street.
Herren said construction on the San Joaquin Extension Slide Repair Project is complete. The project will continue with the installation of a concrete wall and the planting of hydro-seed (grass) to stabilize the hillside. Culvert repairs also need to be finished.
The Public Works Department has been assigned the task of cleaning the kennels in relation to the city assuming the responsibilities of animal control. The kennels are located at the city”s corporation yard near the old airport property.
