HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE ? Multiple agencies responded to a structure fire in Hidden Valley Lake Friday at 10:10 a.m. The fire caused extensive damage to a home on the 19300 block of Coyle Springs Road.
According to CalFire/Southlake Fire Capitan Frank Engelbert, damage is estimated at $500,000. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire and cause remains under investigation. “The initial report we received was that the fire was in the garage,” Capitan Engelbert said.
“Personnel confirmed that when they arrived on scene. The fire spread from the garage to the attic and into the structure. Response was rendered by CalFire/Southlake County Fire Protection District, which responded with a full arsenal of suppression equipment and personnel, including that responding from stations in Middletown and Clearlake Oaks. Mutual aid was rendered by Lake County Fire Protection, which sent one engine and two personnel from Station 65 in Lower Lake. Kelseyville Fire Protection District also responded with one engine and two personnel. The fire kept units on scene for most of the day. Engelbert said the last unit cleared the scene at 4:30 p.m.
