LAKEPORT? Two Sonoma County defendants pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and other charges Friday for shooting, torturing and hogtying a Lakeport man.

Deborah James and Joshua Wandry also denied special allegations and waived their right for a hearing within 10 days.

James, Wandry and Thomas Dudney allegedly shot, beat and hogtied Ronald Greiner, 49, on Oct. 20 at the Lakeport man”s home on South Main Street behind the Record-Bee building.

James, 46, of Windsor is charged with attempted premeditated murder, home invasion robbery in concert with another and first-degree burglary. Special allegations that a principal was armed with a firearm in commission of the offense accompany the charges.

Wandry, 35, of Rohnert Park and Dudney, 59, of Fulton are charged with attempted premeditated murder, aggravated mayhem, torture, simple mayhem, home invasion robbery in concert with another, first-degree burglary, assault with a firearm, assault with a blunt force object, assault likely to produce great bodily injury and serious battery.

Three of the charges carry life sentences. Special allegations that great bodily injury was inflicted and use of a firearm accompany the charges. Dudney pleaded not guilty to his charges in October and is scheduled to return to court at 8:13 a.m. Monday.

Greiner told law enforcement people broke into his house and stole his 10 marijuana plants, officers said.

Wandry appeared to pass out Tuesday in court as he was asking about the charges against him. Medical personnel gave him intravenous fluids and took him out of the courtroom in a wheelchair.

On Friday as Wandry left the courtroom in shackles and black and white striped prison clothing, he escorted another defendant in a wheelchair out of the courtroom.

Wandry and James are scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Friday for a pre-preliminary hearing and 9 a.m. Dec. 4 for their preliminary hearing.

The court set no bail for Wandry and Dudney, who returned to the Lake County Jail. James”s bail is set at $100,000 and she remains in custody.
