On behalf of the Soper-Reese Theatre Management Committee and the Lake County Arts Council we want to publicly thank the local contractors, suppliers, businesses and merchants for their generous efforts to the ongoing renovation of the Soper-Reese Theatre. Here is a brief list of those who have worked on the theatre renovation, many of whom have become active volunteers and contributors.

Ukiah Construction (Mendocino County) ? Jim Lohr, owner, has not only donated hundreds of hours of his own time, but has contributed to the project and attended all of our fundraisers. While you might think that Ukiah Construction is not local, they and other Mendocino County businesses, over the years, have employed many Lake County residents.

Totorico Plumbing (Lake County) ? They have donated both time and materials to the project, including responding to very short-term notice plumbing emergencies. We”ve never received a bill from them for their work. They have recently again stepped up and offered to donate the plumbing work on the dressing rooms when that project moves forward.

Lyle Madeson Painting (Lake County) ? Lyle has done some contract work for the project, but has actually done even more donated painting on the project.

Plaza Paint (Lake County) ? All of our paint was purchased from Plaza Paint.

Davis Environmental (Lake County) ? Provided the underground tank remediation and certification work for the theatre.

Day Electric (Lake County) ? They were one of the bidders that was awarded the major electrical work in the Phase I renovations.

Clearlake Redimix (Lake County) ? All our concrete was purchased through Clearlake Redimix.

Piedmont Lumber (Lake County) ? Construction materials were purchased through Piedmont Lumber, with generous discounts.

Kelseyville Lumber (Lake County) ? Construction materials were purchased from Kelseyville Lumber and they have been a long-time supporter of the theatre and have offered to help with donations and discounts in the future.

Lake County Electrical Supply (Lake County) ? Almost all electrical materials were purchased from Lake County Electrical Supply.

Daniel Donovan (Lake County homeowner) ? Daniel has a specialty business doing decorative glass. His business is in the Bay Area but he also has a home here. He donated 100 percent of the glass, including the etching to restore the existing doors and he restored the historic decorative lights in the lobby. With the recent vandalism to the front doors, he again donated a portion of the repair and restoration.

Raja Construction (Lake County) ? Parking lot redo and repainting.

Roto-Rooter (Lake County) ? Has donated various plumbing sewer cleanings and has also been contracted to fix portions of a sewer problem area.

The Soper-Reese Volunteers (Lake County residents) ? The Soper-Reese Community Theatre is a 100 percent volunteer organization made up of Lake County residents. Untold numbers of hours and dollars have been given in support of this project. Decisions regarding which contractor, supplier, or service provider is selected is based on our best judgment for what is the most qualified, economical and efficient method to accomplish the tasks at hand.

Those listed above represent just a sampling of the vast number of Lake County businesses, and residents who have worked and contributed to this project. Everyone”s efforts and support is greatly appreciated. To those who would like to participate in the renovation of the theatre, please, get involved. We can always use more help and definitely need more contributions.

Thank you to the Rose”s for bringing up the topic so we have the opportunity to clarify and say thank you to those local businesses and individuals who have made the renovation of the Soper-Reese Theatre possible.
