LAKEPORT ? A suspect in the attempted murder of a Lakeport man made bail Friday and was released from the Lake County Jail.
Deborah James, 46, of Windsor posted her $100,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Friday.
James, Thomas Dudney and Joshua Wandry allegedly shot, beat and hogtied Ronald Greiner, 49, on Oct. 20 at the Lakeport man”s home on South Main Street behind the Record-Bee building.
James, 46, of Windsor is charged with premeditated attempted murder, home invasion robbery in concert with another and first-degree burglary. Special allegations that a principal was armed with a firearm in commission of the offense accompany the charges.
On Monday, Dudney waived his formal arraignment to have time to talk to his attorney about trial dates and charges.
Dudney, 59, of Fulton and Wandry, 35, of Rohnert Park are charged with attempted premeditated murder, aggravated mayhem, torture, simple mayhem, home invasion robbery in concert with another, first-degree burglary, assault with a firearm, assault with a blunt force object, assault likely to produce great bodily injury and serious battery.
Three of the charges carry life sentences. Special allegations that great bodily injury was inflicted and use of a firearm accompany the charges.
Dudney pleaded not guilty to special allegations and all of the charges except simple mayhem in October. He is scheduled to return to court to enter a plea and have a bail review hearing at 8:15 a.m. Monday.
Wandry and James pleaded not guilty to their charges and allegations Friday. They are scheduled to return to court 9 a.m. Friday for a pre-preliminary hearing and Dec. 4 for their preliminary hearing.
The court set no bail for Dudney and Wandry, who remain in custody.
Greiner told law enforcement people broke into his house and stole his 10 marijuana plants, officers said.
