I feel compelled to write this letter. On Monday, Nov. 9 on Lakeshore Boulevard. in Nice I was looking through my kitchen window watching a flock of geese come to visit, as they frequently do. I heard a commotion amongst the geese. When it was over, there were three dead geese and some of the remaining ones were mutilated.
Most people slowly come to a stop to let them pass, but in this case an ignorant, passing motorist, with no regard for life, just plowed through them. I know that in the overall picture, this is a small incident. Some people see them as messy or a nuisance, but I only saw their beauty, unfortunately, I think this is a sign of the times. I hope the guilty party sees this letter. But I doubt that he can read. I also hope that the geese come back. If they don”t, it will be sad.
