Why is it that the Bay Area; San Francisco, etc., is receiving all the swine flu vaccine? Do we have to reside in the Bay Area to receive the vaccine? It seems so.
Here in Lake County there are many senior residents who are ill and in need of the vaccine. Are we forgotten because we are old? It seems so.
Caregivers of any age can have the shot. Well, we are our own caregivers, not everyone has a caregiver. We try to stay as well as possible, so as not to be a burden to our family, hospital and doctors. So, give us a break!
This action of ignoring us seniors makes us feel useless and that no one cares. Shame! Shame!
I am 85 years old. I have had knee surgery twice and I”m feeling poorly. I don”t want to end up in the hospital or have anyone care for me. I live alone and try to maintain my home as best I can. I live in senior housing. Many of us here feel the same way. We are trying to survive.
