I am very much concerned with the programming on Channel 8 that I view rarely because of its content, which has been, when I have viewed it, anti-American to me.

The video, however, on hemp was very informative and to realize that this plant not only provides relief from pain but also historically has provided strong material for canvas, etc., means we have an opportunity in this country to grow and use it for many good purposes. I hope that I live long enough to see the day that we as a world community stop destroying forests, thus the natural flora and fauna meant to nourish.

Today, I tuned in to an anti-President Obama film with the narrator ignorant of the United Nations and what it is meant for. Instead of condemning our president, we can be thankful that he is doing what he is doing to calm warring nations and to show the world our willingness to live in this world peacefully, and helpfully, so that no child goes hungry or knows war. I am proud of our president and his family.

It has seemed to me that rather than to uplift our community, Channel 8 is responsible for initiating unrest. We can educate without inciting.
