I try very hard to stay on the positive side of dumb, but all of the stuff I”ve heard about the health system reform makes me think I haven”t gotten there yet!

The country has long ago come to the conclusion that everyone in the country gets health care, at least through the emergency services. If they can pay, or pay something, fine. But when they can”t, the country pays and the problem is simply the method of payment.

To me, some kind of insurance makes sense. The insured makes a bet that he/she will need more service than the insurance premiums: The insurer bets the other way and makes money because they tend to have better information. Personally, I think everyone should have health insurance and pay for it and two alternatives seem reasonable ? private companies that will or have to be told to accept everyone with any kind of pre- conditions; or the so-called public option that will. If some have to be subsidized, then private concerns must prove that their costs and profits are no more than the public option would be. Politics and ideology are having a good time with the problem ? a lot of people don”t want public option, another bunch don”t want the government to dictate to the private firms. Most people just want the job done at a minimum cost! Me? I really don”t care other than keeping costs down.

I do feel that all insurance terms should be the same at
