* Lake County Theatre Company is holding auditions for the comedy production “Foreigner,” 7 p.m. today at the Kelseyville Community United Methodist Church on Church Street in Kelseyville. * Writer”s group meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the Main Street Gallery, 325 N. Main St. in Lakeport. Give constructive feedback or just listen and enjoy. * First Friday Fling, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Lake County Arts Council”s Main Street Gallery, 325 N. Main St. in Lakeport. Meet the artists who are exhibiting in the gallery. For information, call 263-6658.

* The 24th annual Christmas Festival of Music will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 600 16th St. in Lakeport. Choirs, instrumentalists and vocalists from the local community present a free evening of holiday music to get the season started off right. In addition to the featured performers, the audience will be invited to sing Christmas carols. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

* The 16th annual Renaissance Pageant and Feast takes place from Friday to Sunday and Dec. 11 to 13 at Middletown Community United Methodist Church, 15843 Armstrong St. at Washington, one block east of Calistoga Street (Highway 29). Performances begin at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. Guests are asked to arrive between 15 and 20 minutes early as there is no late seating. Special seating is provided for groups of four or more. Tickets will be available after Nov. 1. * The Kelseyville High School music department will present its annual winter concert, 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16 in the KHS Student Center. Groups performing this year will include the KHS concert band, jazz ensemble, chorus and jazz choir. A wide variety of music will be performed, including music for the holiday season. Admission is free.

The event will include a live swing band by David Neft & Friends, a dessert buffet by Chic Le Chef, a 1940s costume contest and a swing dance contest.
