I am currently teaching my third- and fourth-graders at Lake County International Charter School about letters to the editor. We have read your latest newspaper and would like to comment on one of your articles.
Your front page article about the boy who was detained for slapping the hand of a police officer was interesting and sparked our imagination. Most of us thought that it was a good warning to all children about respect for authority. We thought it was well-written and that the boy got what he deserved.
