LAKE COUNTY — The Toys for Tots collection drive is short approximately 250 presents and is desperate for additional donations. Presents for boys age group nine to 12 years are especially needed.
“We are short, very short,” Lake County Community Action Agency Executive Director Georgina Lehne said. “We”re down about 250 gifts and we only have three presents for the boys age group nine to 12. Catholic Charities is also very short.”
Lehne said any contribution would help. “We are trying to make sure all the children of Lake County have a gift for the holiday and the community”s help is greatly appreciated,” she said. “Remember, even a $1 or $5 donation will help. If everyone gave a $1 it would make a great difference in a child”s life.”
