Are we crazy?
Where is the outrage? Our Congress has just voted itself annual pay increases for the next two years and voted to deny COLA (cost of living allocations) for Social Security for the first time in history. You might ask, “Are they crazy?” Well, if we don”t speak out, we are crazy. We must vote them out of office! They are isolated and removed from reality and have no concept of the needs of the economy or their constituents.
Our representative, Mike Thompson, continues to be less than forthright in obtaining information from us. After a lengthy letter writing campaign on my part, he did call me. It was a short and very frustrating conversation. He was unable to discuss issues at any length and preferred to give standard, stock responses to my questions, not answers. I really wish he would come and listen to the people of Lake County. I mean, really sit with us and listen, not just have telephone conferencing where he just sells his agenda.
Please let”s have our voices heard in the coming election year. Get out and vote!
